Read the coverage of the crash into Bar:PM
A police SUV rammed into Bar:PM at 7109 South Broadway, in the city’s Carondelet neighborhood, about 12:30 a.m. Dec. 18, 2023. The police SUV that crashed into a St. Louis bar earlier this week did not have a dashboard camera, according to police. The incident led to the arrest of James Pence, the owner of Bar:PM, on charges of assault and resisting arrest. Two videos were posted online by attorney Javad Khazaeli showing the police SUV crashing into the bar and the subsequent interaction with the bar owners. The bar owner claims he did not assault police and should not have been arrested after two officers ran their SUV into his south St.Louis bar.
