ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The Cardinals announced their Opening Day roster on Wednesday, a day ahead of the team’s season-opener in Los Angeles.

Six players begin the season on the injured list for the Cardinals: Dylan Carlson-OF, Tommy Edman-OF/INF, Sonny Gray-RHP, Lars Nootbaar-OF, Keynan Middleton-RHP and Drew Rom-LHP.

None of the six were placed on the 60-day IL, so the hope is that each is dealing with a more short-term injury. To make room on the 40-man roster for Victor Scott II, infielder Jared Young was outrighted off the roster.

The Cardinals take on the Dodgers in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon with first pitch scheduled for 3:10 CT.
