St. Louis City SC is back for its sophomore season in Major League Soccer (MLS), and the soccer club’s Citypark continues to set the standard for American stadium food, with fans able to eat from over 20 independent St. Louis restaurants as part of the matchday experience. Such a rich representation of the diversity of a city's local restaurant scene is unheard of in major league sports. Not every sports fan has it this good! Although a few local restaurants from the 2023 season lineup have not returned for the new season, City SC’s City Flavor program (led by Chief Experience Officer Matt Sebek and Niche Food Group’s Gerard Craft) has recruited well, enhancing its roster of restaurant vendors with names ranging from Olive + Oak, Olio and Medina Mediterranean Grill to Sunday Best, Saucy Porka and Seoul Taco.

Here’s a look at where we'll be eating on matchdays this season, along with some of the top items on each restaurant’s menu.

Seoul Taco

Upper concourse, near section 208

Seoul Taco brings its blend of Korean and Mexican cuisines to matchdays with a simple, satisfying formula. First, choose your delivery mechanism: burrito or taco? Next, choose from either bulgogi steak or chicken (bulgogi steak for us). Toppings vary, but everything comes with the restaurant’s signature Seoul Sauce. Olive + Oak

Upper concourse, near section 219

The upscale Webster Groves favorite announces itself at CityPark with – what else? – the perennially popular O+O Burger: two beef patties with melted white American cheese, housemade dill pickles and onion, served inside a potato bun. A scaled-down kids’ version is also available. Steve’s Hot Dogs

Main concourse, near section 105; also accessible to the general public from outside the east side of the stadium

If you’re looking for something more than a hot dog with mustard (not that there’s anything wrong with that), look no further. The star of Steve’s CityPark menu is the St. Louis CITY Dog, an all-beef hot dog with grilled peppers and onions, bacon, provolone, banana peppers and smoky housemade mustard. Steve’s also offers a kids’ meal with a hot dog, fries and a cookie. Beast Butcher & Block

Main concourse, near section 128

The pork steak is beloved by St. Louis barbecue enthusiasts. At Beast, it’s special. They butcher the meat then smoke it with hickory wood, baste it with a thinner, St. Louis-style barbecue sauce, and torch it. The result is a giant, juicy, tender cut of meat that’s got a caramelized crust with charred fat and developed flavors, sandwiched in a soft bun and served with pickles. One of CityPark’s true heavyweights. Bold Spoon Creamery

Main concourse, near section 100

Whether it’s hot or cold out, Bold Spoon Creamery’s ice cream is always in season. They’re made with local cream and quality ingredients. Their salted chocolate is sensational on its own but, in combination with a scoop of more unusual flavors like goat cheese and fig jam or crème brulee flecked with shards of caramelized sugar, it makes for an irresistible trio. The Fattened Caf

Upper concourse, near section 216

The Fattened Caf has moved from its former location in the exclusive Michelob Ultra Club out to CityPark’s main concourse for the 2024 season. Their menu leads with a selection of sliders – pork belly tocino, chicken longganisa and the vegetarian jackfruit adobo – served on sweet, starchy ube pandesal buns. The chicken longganisa also pops up, hot dog-style, in a long ube bun, or you can have it on a stick. BrassBurger

Together Credit Union Club*, Upper concourse (entrance near section 131)

Whether it’s a single, double or vegetarian burger made with black beans, they’re all winners. They get served up with American cheese, dijonnaise, onion and pickles on a Companion bun. It’s a classic combo of ingredients that is most complete when paired with their marshmallow or coffee soft serve ice cream for dessert. *Note: Club seating ticket required for entry to Ultra Club and Together Credit Union Club sections. Pie Guy

Main concourse, near section 118

We’ve long been fans of a late-night slice at Pie Guy in the Grove. Here, the menu is pared down to a giant slice of New York-style cheese or pepperoni pizza on a paper plate. It’s the pepperoni for us. Ices Plain and Fancy

Upper concourse, near section 207

The nitro ice creams are made with a dash of liquid nitrogen to flash churn the custard base, giving the finished product a silky smooth, dense texture. We’re partial to the classic cookies and cream but vanilla, chocolate and the wild-card, cherry cordial studded with chocolate pieces, are always a great idea. Sunday Best

Upper concourse, near section 203

St. Louis City SC unveiled Sunday Best as one of CityPark’s new arrivals for the 2024 season. Just weeks later, Sunday Best closed its Central West End restaurant. That means that – for now, at least – matchdays are your only opportunity to get your hands on signatures like their fried chicken sandwich, topped with red pepper jelly, smoked mayo and dill pickles and served on a toasted bun. Farmtruk

Main concourse, near section 139

As you walk past Farmtruk you can smell the aroma of the meat sizzling on the flattop; it would be wise to stop. Their Farmtruk burger, one of the best-selling items at CityPark last season, is made with Missouri grass-fed beef, cheddar, smoky bacon and crispy fried onions and served on a brioche bun. Farmtruk’s brisket mac is available both here and at the Farmtruk Mac concession near section 108 – check which one is closest to your seat in the stadium. Pastaria

Together Credit Union Club*, Upper concourse (entrance near section 137)

One of our favorites at Pastaria is the Caprese deli sandwich with fresh mozzarella, tomato, pesto aioli and arugula layered on a Union Loafers hoagie roll. The crucial ingredient is their giardiniera: pickled, spicy vegetables in a little olive oil that deliver heat and brine to each bite. Their Italian deli sandwich puts the giardiniera to work too, balancing the richness of prosciutto, salami, ham and provolone. *Note: Club seating ticket required for entry to Ultra Club and Together Credit Union Club sections. Anthonino’s Taverna

Main concourse, near section 120

Go for the gyro! A combination of beef and lamb is rolled in a fluffy pita and served with tomato, onion, cooling tzatziki and feta for a sharp, salty bite. Olio

Upper concourse, near section 222

Ben Poremba’s Mediterranean restaurant is one of the big-hitting additions to CityPark’s culinary roster for 2024. Olio’s menu includes stadium-friendly adaptations of classics, like its King of Kings hummus bowl, as well as handheld eats like the chicken shawarma pita. Union Loafers Cafe and Bread Bakery

Union Loafers’ Bavarian pretzel is kind of perfect. The dough is naturally leavened, yielding a pretzel with tangy flavor and chewy texture. Dip yours in grainy mustard or the iconic sports arena condiment, neon-colored cheese. It’s all good. (Main concourse, section 118) Balkan Treat Box

Main concourse, near section 105; also accessible to the general public from outside the east side of the stadium

Balkan Treat Box’s popularity seems to grow by the day, and with new offerings exclusively at CityPark, there’s only more to love. Go for the beef or vegan kebabs with strips of beef or plant-based meat, tomato, onion, cabbage, creamy kajmak, and ajvar (a savory roasted red pepper spread) wrapped up in their Turkish wood-fired flatbread. The kebabs are great, and the bright and bold orange-pistachio chocolate chip cookie is one of the best eats in the stadium too. Mayo Ketchup

Main concourse, section 110

The empanadas at Mayo Ketchup are the stuff of legend. The tender, flaky dough is filled with picadillo-style ground beef flavored with tomatoes, onions and spices. It’s the ideal handheld snack for when you’re cruising around the stadium. Mayo Ketchup’s 2024 season menu also includes cheese-filled tequenos, maduros and their Cubano sandwich. Medina Mediterranean Grill

Main concourse, near section 103

St. Louis City SC recognized halal food was lacking at CityPark last season, and bringing Medina into the fold is a step in the right direction. The Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurant debuts with a tightly focused but dependable menu of beef, chicken and falafel wraps. Each includes your choice of protein with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, sumac onions, pickles and garlic tahini sauce, all wrapped up snug in a warm pita. Malinche

Main concourse, near section 140; Ultra Club*, upper concourse (entrances near sections 242 and 251)

Malinche now has a location on the main concourse in addition to retaining a spot in the Ultra Club. Their stadium menu offers three types of taco – bistec (steak), pollo asado and vegan hibiscus – served on corn tortillas with smoky salsa tatemada, pickled onions and queso fresco. You can also order chips with either chipotle queso or guacamole. Dewey’s

Main concourse, near section 142

Dewey’s also has pizzas by the slice in either cheese or pepperoni, but don’t miss the garlic knots made from their pizza dough.
