St. Louis Lambert International Airport is elevating its culinary game. In addition to such local offerings as Casa de Tres Reyes, Three Kings Public House, Kingside Diner, and Urban Chestnut, the airport is on the cusp of opening a handful of additions that are sure to delight travelers. Here’s what is on deck.

Crushed Red: St. Louis’ popular salad and pizza chain is experimenting with a new way of serving its guests: a self-serve pizza kiosk inside Lambert’s Terminal 2. Co-founder/CEO Chris LaRocca says the pizza vending machine broke company records last week—during its debut at the airport—which happened to coincide with spring break. Read more about the new concept here.

Shake Shack: The brainchild of St. Louis native Danny Meyer, Shake Shack continues to expand its area footprint with a new location inside Terminal 2. As reported by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the forthcoming restaurant will occupy the spaces previously filled by California Pizza Kitchen and Burger King. Although no opening date has been announced, look for the new spot to serve its first Shackburgers, shakes, and crispy crinkle-cut fries later this year.

4 Hands Brewing-Peacemaker Lobster and Crab: Two beloved St. Louis brands are teaming up to bring airport-goers a taste of the city: 4 Hands and Peacemaker are working on a combined location inside Terminal 2. Formerly home to Schlafly and Pasta House Co., the new 4 Hands/Peacemaker will feature craft beer, lobster rolls, po' boys, and more.

NASCAR Drafthouse: After a lengthy hiatus, NASCAR is racing back into the restaurant business with a forthcoming concept located inside Lambert’s Terminal 1. As reported by the Sports Business Journal, NASCAR Drafthouse will operate as part of a licensing agreement between NASCAR and HMS Host. It's anticipated to open later this summer. Customers can anticipate an all-day menu of breakfast, lunch, and dinner fare, a full bar, and grab-and-go options.

Pei Wei: Set to open at Lambert later this year, a new Pei Wei location will serve up the brand's popular fast-casual Pan-Asian cuisine. Diners can look forward to such dishes as honey seared chicken, firecracker shrimp, and chicken lettuce wraps.

Midtown Specialty Coffee: Travelers looking for a caffeine fix before early morning flights will soon be able to grab a cup of joe at Midtown Specialty Coffee. No opening date has been set, but the coffee shop is slated to open later this year.
