Clouds will continue to wrap in fro… A persistent area of low pressure has moved into the Ohio River Valley, causing clouds to persist and potentially drop below freezing temperatures west of St. Louis. A Freeze Warning has been issued for towns like Bowling Green, Washington, Union, and Sullivan. Clouds are expected to clear overnight into Friday morning, with temperatures expected to reach the mid 30s. On Friday, temperatures will be warmer and less windy, with highs in the mid 50s expected. Sunshine is expected on Saturday, but rain is expected Sunday, which could improve conditions for Monday and the solar eclipse.

ST. LOUIS — Happy Home Opener, STL! A stubborn area of low pressure has drifted into the Ohio River Valley, and we are still stuck on the back side of it. Clouds will continue to wrap in from the northwest and we’ll watch for some showers, especially this afternoon east into Illinois. It will be a breezy, cool day, though not as windy as Wednesday. Cardinals first pitch temperatures and highs in the upper 40s.

Clouds are expected to clear overnight into Friday morning. Wake up temperatures are in the mid 30s for the area. But west of St. Louis, temperatures could drop below freezing. A Freeze Warning has been issued for towns like Bowling Green, Washington, Union, and Sullivan.

After a sunny start, clouds are expected to wrap back in once again on Friday. It will be warmer and less windy, highs in the mid 50s. Sunshine will dominate on Saturday, with highs around 60. Rain is expected Sunday, especially in the morning. That means skies look to be clear on Sunday night, bringing improving conditions for Monday and the solar eclipse.
