The St. Louis Board of Aldermen is taking the next step toward putting the city sheriff’s job back on the ballot. The St. Louis Board of Aldermen is set to set a special election date for the city sheriff's position, following the permanent removal of former Sheriff Alfred Montgomery. The election will be held between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., with polling hours set to occur. The deadline for applying for the interim position is 5pm.
