St. Louis aldermen set special election date for sheriff
Candidates can begin filing Tuesday at 8 a.m. through 5 p.m. Jan. 16 The St. Louis Board of Alderman has set a special election date for March 3 to replace former Sheriff Alfred Montgomery. The city is also accepting applications for an interim sheriff. The election follows a ruling by a judge that Montgomery should be removed from the position. The application can be filed by either party.
