Final proposal comes with calls to delay St. Louis Public Schools consolidation
A final proposal to consolidate St. Louis Public Schools is coming after months of feedback and adjustments, along with calls for further delay. The plan, called "Future Ready SLPS," has taken several turns since it first was released over the summer. The goal of the plan is to reduce the number of buildings, staff and bus routes to address the district's $41 million budget deficit and redistribute resources more equitably across the city.
